I am the special events and prospect director at a Foundation of a local Catholic hospital system. My primary responsibilites are to design and implement unique fundraisers to help support a myriad of programs that directly benefit the poor and underserved in my community. Our main campus has been serving our Valley since 1911. With a rich heritage and long standing reputation of service before self, our community has rallied together to help our famlies, friends and neighbors at a sometimes difficult time in their life. As health care is changing and our local economy still rebounding from the loss of industry, many families have lost the ability to access health services. Even with the new Healthcare Reform, many will still fall through the cracks. Our Foundation manages and supports over 50 programs that range from Prescription Assistance and Mobile Dental Clinics to helping fund internal programming that offsets screening costs such as mammograms and prostate exams to the Men and Women who are uninsured or underinsured. Somedays are spent mostly on the road, educating and raising dollars to further our misson of service. I have been a Ford guy for a few years now and couldn’t be more proud of my Mustang’s service to my career. My 2010 Mustang GT Premium helps me log more than 2,000 miles each month driving between hospitals, meetings and large scale events. Although the Ohio winters sometime slow us down, she has never made me late for any engagement or appointment. The folding rear seats give me the ability to carry large banners, boxes and educational materials to and from community centers and lectures. I couldn’t imagine working for or doing anything other than fundraising and program outreach, it is truly fulfilling and rewarding. I also couldn’t imagine a better work partner than my Mustang. She helps me fulfill the mission of our hospitals and diocese as well as making a difference in the lives of those who need it most! Thank you Ford for producing such a beautiful car and even better partner!
