The iconic pony logo grabbed me by the throat at 8 years old & never let go. The car I learned to drive on in 1970 was my Dad’s 1965 Mustang HT, 6 cyl., 3 speed manual. He handed me the keys as my own 3 years later. I added new tires, new paint, and a slick AM/FM cassette in the glove box. It wasn’t a muscle or show car, but it was MY car !! Unfortunately, it was stolen from in front of our house in 1974. I carried the keys in my pocket for 5 years after the theft. I never got that Mustang out of my system, so in my late 40s I finally replaced it with “Rachel”, my 1965 Prairie Bronze fastback—289, 4bbl, automatic, A/C, power steering & brakes…loaded and consistently placing in car shows. Also, my daily driver is a Windveil Blue 2005 GT Deluxe Coupe. Please continue the legacy, Ford. GO MUSTANG !!
