My Hand Me Down Mercury Will Not Quit.

My father purchased the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis with 8 miles on it. He drove is for several years and when to trade in the vehicle with close to 200,000 miles. The trade in value was very low so my father gave the vehicle to me to drive. The vehicle now has 283,249 miles on it and running strong. I drove the vehicle to Missouri over this summer and to Arkansas the summer before. It has never let me down or left me stranded.
It is comfy and rides great. It is the original engine and transmission. I plan on traveling another 200,000 miles or so. Everyone thinks that it is time for a new car but how do you get rid of a vehicle with nothing wrong with it. I work at a Ford dealership in Indiana and I swear by Maintenance. This is the best car I have ever owned. Thank you Ford for making such a great automobile.

Just make the sheet metal as durable as the 7.3 Power Stroke engine. Whether its galvanized or some other treatment we shouldn't have to use baling wire to hold an otherwise perfect truck together. And why does the clutch chatter on my 2,000 F-350DRW 7.3 6 speed. After 11 years it's annoying.
