My First Car
DEC
30

I was 17 and Got My drivers license. So I started to search for cars. This was what I wanted: A big, powerful, dependable car. So I started to think about either a GM or a Ford. Started searching and found a Mercury Grand Marquis for $700. The car was from Illinois. So it had a lot of rust. Well i loved the ride so I started to invest money into it. Right now I have wasted around 1400 with the purchase of the car. I have rebuild the transmission myself. The reason why I bought this car is to practice my mechanical skill on it. I want to be a Mechanical Engineer. The interior is original. Now I am painting the car and I want it to be a little modern so I am going with flat black. Future upgrades will be to remove the 4.6 and replace it with a carbed 302 engine with an upgraded AOD transmission and with a rebuild differential. I want to make it fast and luxurious at the same time. I really don’t care about the fuel mileage. This is what American cars should be like. That is why I believe that Ford should continue with their panther platform. The picture was of the day I bought it which was on october 11, 2010. The car has around 20 years and it is still running strong. I will never sell this car. It was my first car and will always be my favorite car.

I have an idea to change how we use energy. My idea is to build a device which transfers energy from the wind into electrical energy so it can recharge a battery ina hybrid car. The car idea i have involves having two batteries to power the entire car and have no need for a motor. As one is losing power the wind can generate power to return th charge. There would be less dependency on gasoline.
New way to power our futures and to power our vehicles
