On November 29th, I decided to change my life forever. You see, I was a corporate superstar living the blue shirt, khaki pants Monday morning lifestyle. Working for “the man”, I started to feel a little less inside each day. This was not only mental, but also physical. A change had to be made and I was just the type of person to do it.
I knew my 2008 Ford Fusion S was a reliable car, but I was and am still putting it to the test. For those of you that want to know more, I have a blog that I am writing day to day about it but I do not believe that I can post the link. Let me know if you want to know more.
But back to the story. Starting in Atlanta, GA and making my way up through Chicago (my ol’ stomping grounds), I was determined to go through all of the northern US on my way to Mt. Rushmore, SD. Between blizzards in Minnesota, long stretches through South Dakota and sleeping in rest areas (see attached picture), my Fusion has been performing excellently.
I have the freedom to do this at the ripe old age of 30 because of working hard for so long but I am doing what so many others want to do.
With that I leave you with one of Aaron’s Tips from the Road…
If you see something that you think is interesting, stop. Not only will you enjoy the view, but you will also thank yourself for not passing by that opportunity.
