Thank You Ford Motor Company

Our 2002 Ford Focus station wagon came to us with 54,000 miles. I was drawn to the fold down rear seats and good gas mileage for use in the courier business. After another 324,000 miles it has proven to be an excellent choice. Michigan weather has ranged from wind chills of 20 below to over 100 hot summer degrees. It has been a steady starter, hauled heart transplants and life saving transfusions. Thank You Ford for a quality vehicle

Being a diehard, 3rd generation Ford lover, I get very concerned when I see my beloved auto manufacturer making a grave mistake. I currently live in England (UK), and have been enviously watching these Brits drive around in their awesome diesel Ford Rangers for about 5 years now (I move back to U.S. in 2016). A prouduct that has been discontinued in the U.S.. Also, i'm aware that Ford Motor Company tested the Diesel Ranger in the U.S., but decided on a Eco-Max F-150 instead. Recently I read an article from the Chevrolet website, stating they will be offering the first of its class, mid-sized diesel pick-up in 2015. It is called the World Platform Chevrolet Canyon (Holden). I believe this move by GM will revolutionize American trucks. Those diesel Chevrolet Canyons will probably fly off the lot. What's very disturbing about this situation is that Ford was poised to do the exact same thing back in 2012, with World Platform Ranger, but decided against it.  Listen, not all Americans like big/bulky trucks.  I've been driving a single cab 1994 Ford ranger for 16yrs, and love it.  I'm 5'10" and dont need a stepping stool to get things in and out of the bed. Plus, I've hauled/towed about anything you can think of with the 4.0 V6.  Now, if my truck was a 4 door diesel, my options would be limitless.  I wholeheartedly believe Ford has missed the chance of a lifetime here. Or, maybe Ford is taking a strategic approach to see how the diesel Chevrolet Colorado launches? If the diesel Colorado is a flop, then Ford havent wasted anything.  Ford, please bring a diesel mid-sized truck to the U.S., preferebly under the Ranger nametag!!! Finally, offer a diesel mid-sized truck in the U.S. with a manual transmission (GM is not)! Do this before Toyota Brings the diesel Hilux to the U.S., because by then, it will be too late. Thanks...for reading my rant!
