Wedding Day And Honeymoon
FEB
15

I was married to my wife Jacqueline on February 7th, 1976. The day before the anniversary of her birthday February 8th. It was also one week before Valentine’s Day. My father bought this car new from Marck Motors Ford in El Cajon, California. It was medium metallic green, FMX automatic, 351 Cleveland 4bbl, yellow/green ‘Lazer’ stripes. I won many bracket races with this car at the old ‘Orange County International Raceway’ at East Irvine, California. I later used this car as a tow car for my strip-only car. I even entered it in a street car only bracket race at the Fort Hood Dragstrip on base in Killeen Texas in 1974! I won! I was visiting my brother Ken right before he was discharged from the US Army. I freshened this car’s engine at 87,000 miles in 1985. I did not bore the cylinders, I put the same pistons back into it because it showed less than one thousandth wear! I later used the race car’s 1-4 bbl intake, ignition system, headers, homemade custom oilpan, with a street cam, put it in the econorail, and ran a 9.70 ET at 136 MPH! I have a 1/64 scale die-cast car of this great car with correct coloring. The picture is similar, I need to scan the actual car to my computer, I will do this if contacted.
