Pinto To Mustang

My very first car was inherited from my parents. They bought a 1980 Ford Pinto when I was a month old. In 1996 I was honored to be able to drive it when I turned 16. My friends loved to make fun of my car and it’s beautifully polished stock chrome wheels, but didn’t hesitate to get in when they needed a ride. My greatest memory was when my mom and dad where teaching me to drive it, as it was a stick, in the high school parking lot. Lots of laughs and good times. In 1998 my little brother was next in line and I had the chance to take him to that same parking lot to teach him how to drive it. We LOVED that car. I had a short stint with a Mitsubishi Eclipse – we won’t get into that nightmare. I am now the proud owner of a 2001 Mustang and have had eleven glorious years with my second pony car. We will always be a Ford family.
