My First Car Was A Ford
SEP
24

My first car was a 1974 White Ford Mustang II.I saved up for that car with a summer job. Bought it used from a co-worker for $500. Drive it till it died. I’ve had several Escorts, an ‘84 Ranger, and now, I’m driving a 1998 Ford Taurus SHO. You can bet that as I continue my journey through life, I intend to get more Fords. A Mustang Cobra. A Ford GT. A Ford Explorer. Ford is the only American Auto Company that didn’t take any bail out money. THAT says something about the strength of the company. And every time I’m watching NASCAR or ROLEX, or ALMS< or Australian V8 Supercar, I’ll be cheering for my Blue Oval brother’s and sisters in their Fords.

ONE LUV. FORD!!!!!

Bob K My first Ford was a 1973 Gran Torino with the 302. Had a total of 4 Torino's miss the last one the most. It was a 1972 Gran Torino Sport (fastback) Looked just like the one in the movie Gran Torino, just mine was Gold.

Greg E Well, my first car was a 1976 Camaro, which is why I'm a Ford guy now and have been since that Camaro. My next car was a 1983 T-Bird and every vehicle after that has been a Ford. Went through 4 T-Birds before Ford decided to end their fate, so now I'm a F-150 man (got to have rwd and a Mustang is too small for everyday).

Cheryl McCaul My first car was a 1954 Ford. I had to save to buy it ($100) before my dad would teach me how to drive. And it had to be a stick shift. I gave it to my brother when I married. He totaled it!!! I cried when it had to be taken away. I LOVED that car!

Bob W My first ford was a "hand me down" that was the family car until I got it at 17. It was a 1951 Custom Coupe that was Hawaiian Bronze in color until I got the idea to have it painted yellow and green. I loved that car and hated to give it up when I joined the Navy. When I got out of the Navy I bought a Falcon (sing Memories here) and I have to say I didn't like it, so my dad traded me his red and black Ford 4 door sedan. I've also owned a couple of other Fords including most recently a 2000 Focus. I'm also married to a woman whose family are Ford nuts. Her brother has about 8 of them starting with a deuce coupe.

In the world of cars the mustang is my absolute favorite. But there is one thing that this car lacks most of all and that is performance handling. take a look at european cars compared to them we are in the stone ages yes i know the new mustang is wider and lowered also it has independent suspention all four tires, we will wait to see what it can do. Also we have a 5L engine that stock puts out around 450 HP really? how is it smaller engines can dut out the same? what i am trying to say is the mustang is an iconic car and when it first came out it was top of the line, throught the years of mustangs life it has fallen into a rut of terrible design untill the you have the 2005 or newer model. but performance on the track has still been lacking if ford wants to keep up in the world they need to have a faster, lighter and well it has already got the looks down but come on please for the pride of our country put money aside and make something amazing that can show the world what America can make out of its own garage! Thank you
