After mowing lawns and doing odd jobs for 2 years, he finally saved enough money to by a car, this was 1964. Even though he was to young to drive by 1 year, his father and he went looking for that dream car.
Thy found a 1954 Mercury that needed a little engine work and the price was right, $150.00 dollars later, and the car was towed home.
That car started a life long career as an auto mechanic. That career raised a family of 5 including my husband and allowed us to live the American dream.
He still talks about that white over blue 2 door Mercury with fond memories, and to this day we still own 2 Fords, a 2005 Mustang GT and a 1966 Mustang convertible. We plan on adding another Ford to out stable within the next year.
