My First Automobile And Proud As A Peacock

turned eighteen. Hitler was rampaging over in europe. I tore the engine down cleaned the pistones put in new rings and wrist pins. sanded down the ends of wrist pins to make the bearings fit tighter. hand ground the valves. put it back together and it ran like a clock. that car could run thru a foot opf snow with no trouble. I sure was proud of that car. when I got drafted into the army I had my dad sell it as I didn’t know if I’d be back . A lot of my friends didn’t get back from that war. that was WWII.
