I am an only child and my father wanted to buy me a car for my high school graduation – while my mother vehemently disagreed. My father won out and asked what kind of car I would like. I chose the same car that my boyfriends mother drove – and to this day I am not sure why. I will never forget the thrill of coming home from work to find the beautiful dark green Granada sitting in our driveway.
My father was bursting with pride while my mother was standing in the background with a camera. She certainly wasn’t pleased, but she was not about to miss out on the once in a lifetime photo opportunity. That ford got me and my friends all over the place – in and out of trouble and it held a bunch of great memories. I will never forget my first ford!
