My First Ford

I lived in Montana for a short time in 1997.I had never owned my own car before. While there,I found a 1974 Gran Torino for 400 dollars.I was lucky because the little lady who owned it only used it occasionally and it only had 49,000 miles on it.The month after I bought it,we decided to come back to Texas. In Montana there is no speed limit on the highway.Imagine driving a Gran Torino through the mountains doing 90 mph.It was so exhilerating.I felt like the queen of the road.We drove all the way bak to Texas and never had a problem with my car.Unfortunately I was back in Texas for 6 months and a drunk driver hit me and totaled my car.It was the best car I ever owned.

The Ford Flex is the best kept secret.  I Limo whithout the Chauffeur.  Better than a mini-van in most cases.  I'm afraid Ford will not keep the Flex.  I don't think they have marketed it's attributes and value agressively enough.  I Just purchased my first and love it.  My fear is that three years from now I won't be able to replace it with another Flex.  All Flex fans must petition Ford to keep the Flex. An Icon with special Retro-Appeal like the Mustang and many other things in our current culture!
