I met my wife in a 65 Ford U.S. Air Force Staff Car in Alaska. You can’t find a more romantic story than that. I was stationed at Elemendorf AFB as a VIP staff car driver. I drove for high ranking military officers and civilians. One day the dispather told me to go to building T-7191 and pick up Ms Lucas and take her to the Federal Building in Anchorage. I picked up Ms Lucas, waited for her to complete her business and brought her back to base.

Well I was Love from the get go. Her beautiful smile and personality did me in. I asked the dispatcher to send me any time she needed a ride and I was available. He did and our relationship grew. We married in 1969 and have a son named James. We have been happily married now for 43 years. We live in New Jersey where I am from.

I still drive her around in our Fords but now she sits up front.
