Aloha from Maui!
When my grandfather bought this black 1932 Ford DeLuxe V8 Roadster in 1984, it wasn’t a purchase he planned on. Driving to the west end of our island he found this car under a tree with faded paint, mis-matched wheels, and a torn rag top. Interior and powertrain were still in pretty good shape so he decided to buy it. After almost a 6 year body-off restoration, what you see pictured is the end result. This car is the first that my grandfather and I worked on together. This car still runs a Ford Flathead mated to the original 3spd trans and rear end—one of the few “original syle” cars in our club. This past Sunday, our local car club had a show at a local shopping complex. We thought this would be a great time to show her off. After staging our cars, the cameras came out.
