Traveling With Ra

I have rheumatoid arthritis and was having trouble getting in and out of all vehicles. I owned a Taurus when I was diagnosed with RA. At the end of 2006 I decided that I needed to get something easier for me to get in and out of. My husband did very little driving and I still worked ( 30 miles from home). I checked out a number of cars and ended back at the Ford dealer. I test drove the 500 and found it was very easy for me to get in and out of the vehicle. Since then, I have had numerous comments about how good the ride was when traveling. I have a sister with Parkinsons and for traveling to Kansas (which I do several times a year), my Ford rode much better than her Nissan. The car handles very well in the snow and I have had no problems with it. I was also surprised (when I moved further outside the city) that my gas mileage averages 27.6 mpg. This is a great vehicle. I was sorry to hear that it was no longer being made. My arthritis is better, and I hope to have many good trips with my 500.
