I want to take this opportunity to share with you my Ford experience. In August 2000, I had just graduated high school and was preparing to set sail on my college journey in Nashville, Tennessee. Though I hadn’t planned on purchasing a car, it became clear that my 1979 MG Midget was not going to get me “from point A to point B” through the next four years.
My parents took me car shopping on a bright August afternoon. My mother was then employed by Primus Automotive Financial Services in Franklin, Tennessee. Since Ford had given her such a generous discount on the A Plan, we decided to visit the Ford Jenkins and Wynne dealership in Clarksville, Tennessee.
I walked into the showroom floor to find a shiny, new black 2000 Ford Escort ZX2. It was perfect! I knew as soon as I saw it that this would be the car for me. After filling out the paperwork, I was handed the keys. With only 100 miles on the odometer, I drove it off the lot.
August marked the 10 year anniversary of that wonderful day. After four years in college and nearly seven years of commuting 110 miles a day to/from work, my odometer now reads 259,872 miles. I am happy to report that the Escort has had nothing but routine maintenance and repairs during these past 10 years.
My husband and I married two years ago and are preparing to start a family in the near future. I am not sure how much longer my trusty car will get me “from point A to point B”. But I do know that I can depend on Ford to provide an excellent car that will last my family for years to come.
Thank you for your commitment to excellence. I appreciate each and everyone of you for making my 10-year experience with Ford a pleasant one.
Enclosed you will find a copy of the scrapbook page I made in 2000 after the purchase of the car Thank you again.
