My Three Fords
MAR
09

I thought I’d share my story, since I am an owner of three Ford cars currently. I bought my first Ford, a 1969 Mercury Cougar, in the summer of 1985 when I was 16. I still own it. I saved up for 5 months working at $3.35 an hour to buy the Cougar. That lasted me through high school and college, after which I lapsed and drove a 1986 Celica for 7 years.

In 2000, I bought a nice used 1997 Ford Thunderbird, which I still own and drive. It has almost 200,000 miles on it now and is still driving very well. In 2008, I decided to get another car, a new Mustang Pony Package, Vista Blue. It is the first new car I’ve ever owned. I planned on selling the Thunderbird, but I liked it so much, and it still ran so well, I decided to keep it and drive it to help keep the miles down on the new Mustang, so that’s what I have done.

So, there you go. That’s how you get three Fords. And honestly, I like them all so much, I don’t plan on getting rid of any of them soon. :)

The Mach 1 should get another nod with this current gen before the restyle on the 2015 model. I know the production on the 5.8 Trinity V8 is to be quite limited. Wouldn't it be great to have a naturally aspirated version of the Trinity as an optional mill on the '13-'14 Mach 1? Have factory options such as handling and drag pack and TracKey; all backed by warranty from Ford. Judging by the way that the aftermarket and owners have responded to the limited run Boss (by modding the heck out of these 'rare' vehicles). The Mustang culture would meet this with roaring applause.
