I Thought I'd Always Drive A Honda
SEP

my first car at age 18 was a Mercury Capri-an older model with a lot of miles on it, and i swore i’d never own another Ford. my next 3 cars through college and on were all Hondas, and i swore i’d always drive a Honda. well, my last Honda Civic had so many problems, and i couldn’t afford any more repair costs, so i sold it to my mechanic and didn’t have a car for 9 months, which was torture because i live in a rural area. my father died last year, and about 3 months ago, i got his 98 Ford Explorer, which only had 73,000 miles on it. I absolutely love this vehicle!! there are a couple minor quirks, like the unlock button on the driver door doesn’t work, but now i know i’ll always drive a Ford SUV. i didn’t like the color at first (kind of tan), but it’s grown on me and now i love it. i am very-low income so i probably will never own a new vehicle, but i will treat my Explorer like the wonderful vehicle it is and hopefully it will last a long time. thank you for making a great car!!
