I would like to see a switch on my tailgate on my F150 to tell me that the gate is open. I lost about $500 worth of tools because I did not know my tailgate was open. I have a soft tonneau cover and couldnt see that tailgate latch failed and open. My tool box and screw gun had to fall into the highway. The police and myself backtracked to try to find the tools but someone must have stopped and picked up. A simple light on my dashboard telling me my tailgate was open would have eliminated a lot of expense and trouble .
