I'm not overly familiar with the chassises of any of the ford cars, or even if this idea would work, but I thought i'd throw it out there. What if towards the roof end of the a,b, and c pillars, the pillars had a type of spring loaded system. The idea behind it is to provide some type of shock absorption in the case of a rollover.

Isaac Johnson Ford overall needs to improver as well as standardize roof strength for ALL of their vehicles. This issue is preventing them from recieving 5 star crash test rating on all Fords. I certainly wish EVERY new Ford vehicle had 5 star crash ratings in all categories. Honda achieved that with the Accord. Why Ford hasnt followed suit is beyond me. 2 months(s) ago via Ford Social
