I agree with Matt and Ron on the topic of children being left in hot cars. My idea is to allow the back seats to have sensors (like the front passenger for an air bag) for any weight detected in the seat once the car of turned off. A lighted warning light on the panel would notify the driver to "check backseat/s", and could be turned off when a special button on the dash is pushed to deactivate it, or one located on the keyring. This process would be repeated after each time the vehicle is used, and the "weight detector" was used.
Many children fall asleep in cars and not all of them are in car seats or are restrained.
