None of the small cars that IIHS listed as "Top picks" for 2010 were built by Ford. Actually, none of them were built in the US! I want a small car that's also a safe car. I want a car with a full complement of airbags, ABS, you name it. Just because a car is small doesn't mean it shouldn't be really safe to drive. I passed on a Focus last time I bought because of its poor side crash rating. People really pay attention to this stuff. I want any car I have to have a "Good" in all major categories.
