Rich R I agree with with Dwain S. I have a size 15 shoe and the gas and brake pedal are tool close together. I would suggest at least 1 more inch between them.

Michael L I have a size 13 shoe and had no problems. Limiteds at least have power adjustable pedals - does that help?

This is a serious safety concern for me too. I can't see how the recall will make it any better. The pedals are too close together. We need a real fix.

Dwain S I had a similar expereince a few days ago. I'm not your average guy with size 14 shoe, I drove teh Escape Titanium and could not manage to drive the vehicle without getting my foot stuck on the brake when lifting off of the accelerator pedal. Big disappointment as I love everything else about this vehicle. I learned there is a recall but does this create more space between the pedals or simply replace the left console cover and remove insulation?
