The auto-dimming feature on the rearview mirrors does nothing for bright sunlight streaming through the back window, particularly during sunsets and sunrises. And there's no way to manually adjust the mirror to avoid the reflection. Can you create a combo rearview mirror? Or just go back to simplicity and allow the driver to adjust it.
