Last year I took the interior paneling off of my F150's doors to install sound dampening adhesive mats to improve ambient cabin noise. I was thinking the whole time that this should be an option when buying a vehicle. It would make more sense to install this type of material during the manufacturing process when more of the vehicle's body is exposed than after the customer has it. It could be a $500 option for "super quiet cabins".
