In the 2003 Ford F150 Supercab pickup truck, there was an overhead handle by the door. I used this to lift myself out of the seat to exit the truck. Not having the handle in my previous Ford 1998 truck I eventually tore the seat cover by turning my body on the seat and sliding out of the truck. Having the handle in the 2003, I did not tear the seat after 160000 miles driven. I now have a 2010 and the handle is only on the passenger side. Please reinstate the driver side overhead handle in your design. I am a 6 ft. 220 lb man.
