I don't understand why when Americans are looking for more fuel efficient vehicles, that Ford offers only certain combinations for some of their vehicles. For example the Fusion doesn't offer selectshift on their transmissions for the 4 cylinder, when people are looking for 4 cylinders more and more now because of the high fuel prices. Also why don't they offer All Wheel Drive for the 4 cylinder versions? I want a fuel efficient car that also has good traction so why doesn't Ford offer it on the 4 cylinder versions? And how about offering a manual transmission for the 6 cylinder versions, that would make more sense too. I was looking at the 2011 Ford Explorer and saw that the 4 cylinder isn't going to offer selectshift or AWD either. That makes no sense, especially considering that people are looking for availability in 4 cylinder vehicles.
