Just configured a ford F150 XLT standard cab with 6.6' box with ecoboost on edmunds.com.
After getting a price I contacted Ford and found that in order to have an ecoboost an 8' box was required.
IS FORD AWARE THAT THE INDUSTRY STANDARD GARAGE IS 19 FEET LONG BY EITHER 20 0R 24 FEET WIDE
This means that neither me nor MILLIONS of others can own an ecoboost if we want to garage our vehicles. both the extended cab short box and the regular cab long box are over 231" long and 231" won't go into a 228" garage. Please consider offering the ecoboost in the standard cab short box so we can garage our vehicles

Stephen P I agree with Gary T. - A 231" truck will not fit in my garage either. Will be looking at a Ram regular cab/short box Hemi as an alternative tow vehicle. 8 months(s) ago via Ford Social
