I believe it was once an intent of Fords to call the electric car a PROBE IV or something similar. The Probe was a very good car given up to keep the Mustang, a great idea. What better name to use for the electric car than PROBE. It had a good name, was a great car and would be appreciated by a lot. How about another possibility the Probe was a very fuel eficient car it could even come back now as an efficient gas car, if it did it would have to be the sporty driving machine like the earlier GTs were.
