If Ford would offer a Track App migration package to owner of 2011-12 Mustang GT owners, I think this would be a great idea and allows owners of 1-2 year old cars access the current technology.
automotive technology today can support swapping the Track App gauge cluster which could supply real-time information from the PCM. A software package that provides updated programming to coincide is a fair proposition. Making it available through Ford Racing as a system upgrade is highly feasible and potentially profitable.
A lot of people want a performance car; a simplified data logging system that is integrated into the car recent model cars. Most car enthusiasts want more information regarding acceleration, g force, trap speed and the like. ... but you can't manage what you can't measure.
cars have evolved quite a bit, now there are sensors which work with our current air bag/traction/stability control systems -- g force, pitch and yaw and roll over. working a hi-speed can-bus network gives us more capabilities, rather than letting the aftermarket capitalize on the opportunity, I would hope that the IVT/SVT and FRPP guys @ Ford would offer a ground breaker
