Putting a manual transmission in the Forf F-150

I learned how to drive with a manual transmision. Most of the jobs I have had, I was a driver and always drove a truck with a manual transmission. I had a Ford Ranger with a five speed manual transmission and I would like to see it offered on the Ford F-150. You get better fuel mileage with a manual transmission and to tell you the truth I really do not care to drive a vehicle with an automatic transmission. I do not know why Ford does not offer a manual transmission with more of their vehicles.

Randy E I think all vehicles should be offered with a manual transmission, the Escape, Explorer, Expedition (EL), F Series, the new 7 passenger Transit Connect. There are a lot of people who prefer to shift. The new "auto-stick" or whatever they call it is not the same. I don't think I should have to drive a sub-compact in order to get a manual transmission.

James K Love the idea. Great Idea. Expand please! Not just the 150, but the entire F Series. Manual transmissions are great. They keep the driver more in tune with the vehicle and its performance/mechanical condition. I love my old Ranger and have put thousands of dollars into it to keep it. So many people have told me to get rid of it, but I love it, and its 5 speed manual transmission. BTW, bring back the Ranger! Manual Transmission, with an Ecoboost motor, preferable on the 4 cylinder motor. And Ecoboost the V-8 F150's!
