Nobody makes what I want to buy
What I really want is a 6+ passenger mini-van, that is AWD (or 4x4), a plug-in hybrid, that has a FlexFuel engine. A feature that is important to my wife is seats that fold into the floor (so that you don't have find somewhere to put the seats if you need to take them out to carry some cargo). You can find these features on various vehicles, but no vechicle has them all. I realize that E85 gets lower gas miliage than gas, and that will cut into the gas milage increase of a hybrid. Still, you are using less oil. People who like hybrids and people who like E85 are, for the most part, the same people. Yet not one single FlexFuel hybrid exists. With hybrids or electric cars, I don't see why the roof, the hood, the trunk, etc. aren't covered in solar panels. Okay, so you aren't going to get enough power to drive down the road, but every watt you generate via solar is one watt you don't need to generate under the hood. My car sits in the sun in the parking lot at work all day - if your car runs on electricity, why not use that?

Wes Ostic You need a Flex. Most comfortable vehicle for a family, AWD, Ecoboost. It will get good mielage and have tons of power. If you haven't driven one you should. It is way better than a Minivan. And the seats fold completely flat for your wife. She would love it!

Ben Roney An AWD plug-in Hybrid Flex Fuel mini-van seems like an awesome vehicle to me. If someone is worried about a decrease in fuel mileage from running E85, they don't have to run it; that’s the beauty of being Flex Fuel.
