New Ford Super Car or upgraded production line Mustang to beat the Corvette!!

I'm sick and tired of Chevy people mouthing about how Ford has nothing to compete with the Corvette ZR1. I know the 2013 Shelby is a good competitor but its not enough. Ford needs a production vehicle that can easily compete and beat the Corvette. Maybe come out with a new vehicle all together? Or maybe just bring back one of the older models like the Ford GT.

Michael Contreras Ford GT with the new 5.8L Engine from the 2013 Shelby GT500. Too bad the GTX-1 wasn't given more time to shine. Ford could even go all out, R&D Make a new 7.0L (429 CID) with Ti-VCT, and a few of the other goodies from the 5.0 (Oil Squirters, Variable intake runner length technology, etc.) Maybe even add some Titanium Rods for less reciprocating mass and stronger bottom ends. Bring a little more of the racing technology to the road.

Ben Reigle Why not restore the Thunderbird to that level? As i understood it, that was the original intent for that model.
