More robust "send to car" features, bug fixes
See the My BMW Remote app for reference. 1. Sync should be able to handle a queue of destinations sent from the Destinations app like BMW's iDrive system does with My BMW Remote (all points appear in message system sequentially). 2. Rather than going through the driver's phone by way of a sluggish dial-in system (I've actually gotten busy signals trying to download a destination to Sync), waypoints are sent directly to iDrive and appear in the message queue, eliminating any third-party call dependencies. This was foolproof and near instant every time I sent a destination. Not so with Sync. 3. Sync also doesn't reflect the destination name in history, but rather, the address which isn't always familiar and far more difficult to recall. 4. This is just a bug: I select a destination via the "set as dest" button on the touchscreen and it forgets, forcing me to select it again. If the destination was called in, it will require a second call-in. 5. Finally, the "send to car" feature on Google Maps is a worthwhile ancillary addition. Please consider it.

James O It would be great if the car could connect to a WiFi AP (such as your home's WiFi while in the garage) to send/receive map data (destinations, way points, favorites, etc), vehicle health reports, check for software updates, etc., instead of requiring a phone call.

Gregory W This is a great idea, but anything is a great idea after dealing with the maddening voice control system, passengers find it rather amusing when I'm swearing at the vehicle as if it's going to be more cooperative. It's distressing when so many other systems work so well, GM, Acura, even the Dodge system is easier to use than Ford's system, The first Audi system was unwieldy at best at some point you felt like you had to contact mission control to change the radio station, but evidently they listened to their customers and streamlined the controls. It makes brand loyalty difficult when you go into service and the service writers groan in concert because they've all heard the same complaints! Telling your friends that "ford's working on the system and even gave sync owners an extra year warranty" just makes you look bad for buying a substandard system on purpose...when you can see the potential right in front of you but it's anything but user friendly....."sorry, my vehicle hasn't gotten me quite trained yet" stops being funny pretty quickly
