Manual Transmissions
There's still people who wants a M/T in their car and so why not design one that fits in the same space as an A/T that way when you design the car you can fit either into the vehicle. Then leave the option for M/T's so that people who want it can still order it even if dealerships won't.

James Williamson I totally agree. My 150 is only the second AT vehicle I've owned. That's only because Ford wouldn't make it with one. Totally dislike it. Driving used to enjoyable. Now it's just a task and I'm only the operator. I'm not the driver anymore

Andrew Bogott I completely agree. I drove from northeaster IL to north central Iowa to find my truck with a manual transmission. Removing the option is a bad idea, especially when other company's still have them.

Randall Bogott I love my 6 speed manual trans. in my F-250. Even Cadillac is putting a manual in a high performance luxury car. I have driven Ford vehicles for years but I will continue to seek a manual trans. even if I must go to another company after many years. My Fords are known through out my community. It's just part of the driving experience as well as their positive power. I have no problem driving my Torus X with a automatic trans. but when it comes to trucks, the manual trans. is a must. My son, who is a CPA, drives a ford fusion with a manual trans. and both he and his wife love it. Ill. Farmer

Brad Krekelberg I had been hoping since most autos are going to DSGs, it would be a simple matter of putting a manual clutch and shifter on the very same transmission. How about that?
