I have seen about 3 ideas on here based off the return of the ZF 6 speed OD manual transmission, and they're some of the more popular ideas on this sight. My idea is that Ford should simplify the TorqShift 6 speed and adapt it to manual usage. If Ford engineers can create a transmission system as advanced as the TorqShift 6 speed in an automatic setup, then I'm sure they can create a manual version in a very timely and cost effective manner. Now for general production, Ford should just keep track of overall demand, and build Manual TorqShifts in place of the automatic ones in order to save overall funding (as manual transmissions are generally cheaper to produce) and make more money (since a larger crowd of people will be appeased, with the lower price tag, increased efficiency, and a pleased crowd of ZF 6 speed OD fans.). Can't go wrong, I think it's time to attract the crowd who will only drive manuals.
