I love the Focus Electric and see it as the car of the future. I would also like to see an all electric SUV version for families. The current model though has an expensive battery with limited range and a 4 hour charge time. I realize this is relatively new technology but I have been reading about battery research from a company called Envia that has doubled the battery capacity and cut the cost in half. I also read that a Korean company is working on modifications to dramatically decrease the charge time from hours to minutes. When will Ford start using these new technologies in their batteries? I am hoping that within 5 years ther will be a $20,000 electric car with a 200 mile range and quick recharge time. It seems to be doable from what I have read so far. I am patiently waiting in the meantime.
