Grand C-MAX in the US
Bring the Grand C-MAX to the US. It\'s already designed and being made in Europe. Just bring it to America so families with small children can have a nimble, fuel-efficient car that can hold more than just the family on cross town trips. 5 seater cars only hold 4 with car seats or booster seats in the back and kids can\'t sit up front. There is only one vehicle serving this niche in the US currently and its fuel economy is less than stellar. If the fuel economy on the Grand C-MAX is anything like the C-MAX hybrid, this would sell like hotcakes.

michelle We moved to France last year from the Washington DC area, and we traded in our US minivan for a Grand C-Max. We love it! You're right -- it should exist in the US. It would please many families who still want a people-mover but who who appreciate fuel efficiency and want a more maneuverable car on the road.

Dave The Grand C-Max with sliding doors needs to be brought to the US market. The ecoboost engine and compact foot print is perfect for California.

Sam C I like the looks of the European Grand C-Max, but I would prefer that it be a hybrid version if it is sold in the U.S. I wonder if the U.S. C-Max could be a little bit longer - at least as long as the Focus.

jack j Why don't we here in the US have the chance to purchase this exceptional vehicle that is so beneficial to families and/or small business ownes is just weird. Ford company would make it big with this Grand C-Max, easily beating the Dodge, Hondas, Toyotas ... simply I believe that the Grand C-Max would be instantly No. 1 selling minivan here in this Usa. Myslef I wouldn't hesitate a minute to trade my Dodge Grand Caravan for this vehicle even if I were losing a substantial amount of money on this trade. I'd love to own this Ford Grand C-max.

Natalie C This was our next car and then you pulled it from your North American line up. Not cool. We bought the Mazda 5 but really want to drive American. Bring this model here - I need that 7th seat!

Sarah M PLEASE bring the Grand C-Max to the US. I was so excited a few years ago when it was announced and saddened when it was not released in the US. We own a 2009 Fusion and a 2012 Fiesta, but will need something bigger as our family grows. Right now, the Mazda5 and GMC Acadia appeal to me more than anything Ford has to offer. I'm worried the Transit Connect will make me look like a plumber or Super Shuttle driver!

MT Is astonishing this car isn't on the US market. Why? makes no sense. Every time I see another new Mazda5 in my Michigan neighborhood I think, That should have been a Ford.

Brad B Hey Ford & Tom G ! The Grand C-Max is great, had one as a rental whilein France. But another Ford I'd love to see is the Transit Courier Van be available in the U.S. as well. At our horse farm we wanted a Transit Connect from the start, but most of our shelter over hangs made this choice not available due to the high roof line. Possibly the new Transit Connect or Transit Courier will fill the bill.

SAH mom I just queried & discovered the 7 seater C-max and want one. Then I learned it's only European. The 5 seater doesn't do anything more than my 10 year old sedan. Please bring it to USA.

Peter B Ford open you eyes. Americans want this car. I want this car. I'm looking for a everyday driver that is not going to suck gas. But from time to time the kids are going to want friends spend the night, or whatever. Bam two more seats in back. Done. You promo this thing for years, people are waiting to buy and now you are not going to sell it here. I guess I will have to by an other six or seven passenger car that gets decent gas milage made in the us like a Kia, or a Chevy.

Tim I was excited about this vehicle when I first started hearing about it on Ford's U.S. website and as they displayed more pictures and info, decided to wait and buy it. Sad to say, I waited months and then Ford pulled the plug. Thanks Ford. That doesn't leave a person with much of a choice for a fuel effecient vehicle that seats more than 5 or has good gas mileage. Maybe the Mazda 5, or a hybrid SUV, but cost and gas are big factors. I think the Grand C-MAX would have competed well in the smaller car / compact SUV market. Really...who cares about yet another 5 seat fuel effecient small car/SUV. Every automaker has 4 or 5 models to choose from so a few new CMAX models are not likely to gain any market share. I would say on the contrary that they will take sales away from the Focus and Fiesta and Escape. Not a very smart move in my opinion.

Scooter S I've been looking at the diesel options, and given all the success Ford has had in Europe with them it seems that the Grand C-Max would be the ideal platform to debut both the 1.6 and 2.0 in the US.

Jan Can't believe that Ford would not bring this 7-seater to the US. There is a great demand for this size vehicle. I would buy in a flash and trade in my Flex--which also seats 7.

Ryan King I'd buy the Grand C-Max tomorrow if it came to the US. I drove a rental Escape 2012 model and loved everything about it. We have a family with 4 kids. Our options include mini-vans and SUVs. But with gas mileage so dismall, it leaves the Highlander Hybrid as our only choice. Ford needs to realize that the people having kids now are going to be approx 35 and under. All of which come from a younger, tech savy, more green generation. We don't buy into the more horsepower, bigger is better line anymore. We want practical, zippy, tech ready, and good to grow into.

Scooter S Still waiting myself. C'mon Ford. Look at the price of gas. This car with fly off the showroom floors, especially with the two Ecoboost options available giving choices to those who want maybe a GT version.

Brad B Hey Ford & Tom G ! Yes I'd love a Grand C-Max as well. I had one in France as a rental and feel in love. The C-Max Hybrid is coming, but like you I see a need for the GCM. Of all the great vehicles Ford produces around the world ... The Grand C-Max is the best one for Family use, or Farm Use, Business use, heck any use. Yes it would steal sales from the Explorer and Flex, but in my Crystal Ball I see sales of those vehicles from all brands slowing down. Demand drives the market, need drives the market. The GCM is a superior vehicle in it's segment, and I hope Ford will show how superior a vehicle it is by selling it here in the good old USA. In another post I mentioned the Maverick name as a sport wagon or MPV. I'm a child of the 1960's, Maverick would be a great name for the U.S. Grand C-Max multi-purpose vehicle.
