i think that instead of getting rid of the Ford Ranger....Ford Should put the 2.0L &/or 1.6L Ecoboost engine under the hood. update it to 6 speed & add Sync & MyFord Touch to it! While they are at it give it a more modern look...something like the global Ford Ranger!

Bob Ford needs to consider selling the global Ranger in the US. I have two Ranger 4X4's and think they are great. I have an '07 F150 and like it too, but I prefer the manuverabilty of the Ranger in urban traffic. Ford has the technolgy with the new ecoboost engines to create a great smaller truck. So do it! 5 months(s) ago via Ford Social
Robert Todd Being that the Ranger production will end very soon, none of these Ranger wishes will ever be answered 5 months(s) ago via Ford Social

Brad Krekelberg ...or just sell the global Ranger here. Development is done, and it meets US safety standards. I just read the article on Motor Trend's website about it, and it looks pretty sweet. Apparently Ford's reasons for not bringing it here are that they can sell it for more in other countries and they're worried about robbing sales from larger, more profitable models. Hello? Haven't we heard this before with the Focus and Fiesta? Not everyone wants a huge beast of a vehicle. And what about the increasing importance of Corporate Average Fuel Economy? Couldn't a Ranger only HELP that? 5 months(s) ago via Ford Social
