During a recent trip I expeirenced a problem in my 1998 F-150. One of the bolts securing the exhaust pipe to the exhaust mainifold corroded and broke. The result was a terrible exhaust leak. A local muffler shop refused to work on the truck due to difficuly and the complexity of the repair. In turn, I devised a C-clamp myself and it has worked for over 6,000 miles and continues to work perfectly. Instead or the corrosive bolts that are in place to hold the pipe to the manifold..why not use a C clamp instead to prevent such future problems? The monetary gain for the consumer would be great.
