Often, my 2011 F-350 with the 6.7 diesel, will announce that it is cleaning the exhaust filter when I am about to reach my destination. Instead of starting a cleaning cycle when it is not practical, you should receive a warning that cleaning is needed. You could then select "start" or "postpone". If I saw the message just as I was arriving at work, I could plan on taking a drive after work to allow the filter cleaning . Joe K.
