The ford 5 and 6 speed manual transmissions were the best trannies Ford had and along with myself as well as others I know believe and suggest that those transmissions are brought back. Not only did they help with controlling your power and torque but also helped with fuel economy as well. And with today's fuel and gas prices it would be productive as well as profitable for Ford Motor Company as well.

Cory M I have to agree. Even assuming money wasn't a factor, I'd take a '03 super duty over a '13 simply for the manual tranny. I'd even consider a (And I pray it never comes to this) dodge... 2 months(s) ago via Ford Social
Erika P Ford needs to remember that not everyone likes an automatic. I can't buy a 4WD or AWD SUV with a stick shift. ... What the heck?! Not everyone who buys cars lives in the city - I want the control of a manual and my Escort sits too close to the ground to cope with Minnesota snow and 10 miles of dirt roads before pavement!! If I want a $20K + car let me choose the options! I WANT MY MANUAL TRANSMISSION BACK! 3 months(s) ago via Ford Social
Michael P I will never buy a car with no clutch pedal. Neither will my spouse, my brother, or either of my parents. And we live in Ft. Lauderdale, one of the worst places for manual transmissions. 3 months(s) ago via Ford Social
Larry Vance I too like manual transmissions and understand that there appeal is dwindling. One way to up the appeal, is to make standard on all ford manual transmission equipped vehicles a anti drift hill hold, that can be turned off. Most people can figure how to shift, but all get nervous on a hill. 4 months(s) ago via Ford Social
