To save fuel by shaving weight make body panels out of a aluminum honeycomb impregnated with carbon fiber. Derivatives can be made by layering these materials as well. 2 ply’s of carbon fiber 1 ply of aluminum honeycomb then 2 ply’s of carbon fiber. For police allication the out layers can be Kevlar to offer some bolistic resistance.

Ken D Carbon fiber is highly corrosive to aluminum. Aerospace applications always introduce an insulator between these two materials for this reason.
