1.6 liter ecoboost in US Focus

The new high compression 160 HP engine in the 2012 Focus is a good engine, but wil we see the 180 HP 1.6 liter Ecoboost in the US Focus. The Focus is a great car with plenty handling capability, even with the standard suspension. The 1.6 ecoboost would add needed power more in line with that chassis. The 247 HP 2.0 Liter Ecoboost that will be offered in the ST(with its boy racer looks) is overkill for most.

Matt B The standard 1.6's 147lb-ft just isn't enough. The Ecoboost 1.6, available in other markets and in the new Escape, would be a great compromise between the standard engine and the ST.

Jason willis There is an area of potential upgrade in the basic powertrain. While I do like the Automatic. we need a 6 speed manual in all models and a fuel sipping ecoboost other than the 2.0.
