This actually applies to both efficiency and performance. The 1.6 liter Ecoboost with 180 hp/ 180 lb-ft. torque would make a great option for those looking for more oomph and fuel economy on the Focus!!! While the ST serves as the top performing Focus, the 1.6T should be the middleground or replace the 2 liter duratec, its got much more usable power, it will lower the car's weight, and improve fuel economy when paired with a choice of 6 speed manual or 6 speed powershift. Jim OKeefe I am brand new to social.ford.com. I am a fan of the 150 hp 1.6 ecoboost in the Focus. I am interested in a large wide torque curve and this engine apparently really has it. A higher hp figure is basically concerned with being able to rev the engine higher and for me that would maybe never come into play. Also important is a wide ration 6 speed stick shift in which the 6th gear is geared truly only for highway use (absolute minimum of 60 to 65 mph on the flat). 9 months(s) ago via Ford Social
