Instead of spending billions of dollars researching, experimenting and offering Hybrids and Electric Vehicles because it’s what our President says is best, why don’t you do what your Customers and Potential Customers want and bring us the Global Ranger since you offer it in 180 other Countries and while you’re at it offer the 2.2 and 3.2 liter diesel engines in a sedan and an SUV. Ford, I’m sure you know that the 2.2L Global Ranger gets better mileage than even your best hybrid and is definitely safer to drive than your 40 mpg Fiesta. Sure diesel fuel is a little more expensive but since everyone is focusing on going green why not do it and I’m sure that extra 7 mpg that we get with the diesel will make up the difference on that fuel. Don’t offer an electric vehicle with a huge battery that adds to our landfills and toxic materials, you might say the battery doesn’t but the production of the battery does and charging the battery sure does since 90% of our Nations energy comes from non-renewable resources; Coal, Natural Gas, Nuclear and Petroleum. Go ahead and offer a Hybrid that is still less efficient than a diesel and uses an even less "Green" form of fuel than a diesel, you have to compete with Chevy Hyundai and Honda. Then while we are all driving fuel efficient low emission, low toxic byproduct Ford diesel vehicles your research and development team can be working on these other ideas so that we don’t have to drill for oil in the future. But for now give us diesels, the efficient technology that is already available and drill for oil. I and a lot of people I know will be ready to buy your 2.2 and 3.2 liter diesel vehicles as soon as you will make them available. Thank you Ford, I believe you guys are the best despite the fact that you are holding back from the Country that gave you your start, the best type of vehicle for our time.
