Wood pellet fueled steam turbine
A plug-in electric car with an on board steam powered turbine to recharge batteries as they drain or when the car is parked but not plugged into an electic source.  Pellets from wood or corn are easy to load and transport and are produced in the United States.  Stop our dependence on fossile fuel by leveraging the fules we have available in abundant supply.

Dan J This is a very good idea. Steam has the potential to be far more efficient than internal combustion if we were to spend the resources necessary to develop it. I would make the case to fire it with natural gas rather than corn or wood in that we have enough of it for a long, long time right here in this country, it's cleaner and safer than gasoline, and its easy to make if we need to.
