SOLID OXIDE FUEL CELL HYBRID
My idea is to utilize a solid oxide fuel cell similar to Bloom Energy (or Partner with) to mate with a small gasoline engine. Remve the drive train and utilize electric motors at each wheel. The Solid oxide fuel cell will be fueled by natural gas. The paint on the vehicle must be a new paint that can convert sunlight into energy. While the vehicle is sitting outside while at work or home, the energy can be fed back into Solid oxide fuel cell to generate gas. A plug in model could be adapted as well for those that have underground parking. The small engine could be a multi-fuel engine (natural gas, hydrogen, gasoline) and could also provide electricity to run. The gasoline engine could eventually be removed as the Solid oxide fuel cell becomes more powerfull, reliable, etc. The solar cell paint could also generate electricity while driving. Electricity could also be harvested from the bumps in the road.
