Kyle Young Great idea, but it takes a lot to recharge those batteries. Why not put generators on the wheel hubs? 1 year(s) ago via Ford Social

John Blystone Easy - solar cells covering the top of even a large car would only produce enough electricity for a few minutes of operation at best, while adding significantly to the car's weight and cost. The weight would in turn decrease efficiency, so IF there is a net gain it is very small - and I would guess it's actually a net loss. 1 year(s) ago via Ford Social
